🗳️ 2026 Swedish Elections

Election day is September 13. Volt Sweden is actively running candidates on all three Swedish elections: national, regional, and municipal.

NOTE: If you reside in Sweden, you may have the right to vote in local elections, even if you’re not a Swedish citizen. Local elections can have a direct affect on your life: the region runs healthcare and transport, and the municipality runs schools and childcare.

How to vote

You use blank ballots to vote for Volt. It’s easy:

1. For the national election, take a 🟨 yellow blank ballot ("Val till riksdagen") and write “Volt” clearly in the middle.
2. For the region election, take a 🟦 blue blank ballot ("Val till regionfullmäktige") and write “Volt” clearly in the middle.
3. For the municipal election, take a ⬜️ white blank ballot ("Val till kommunfullmäktige") and write “Volt” clearly in the middle.

Optionally, you can write-in a specific candidate on each.

  • Accelerate the green transition with legally binding climate accountability.

  • Champion modern social liberalism and safeguard equal rights for everyone.

  • Foster digital innovation with strong safety protections.

  • Build a united European defence force.

  • Push for greater EU cooperation and structural reform.

Our policies are based on best practice and pragmatism, not ideology and populism.
